Ten07 unveiled the Unicorn Pony, a micro cargo bike with a smaller body than existing utility bicycles, and opened pre-orders.
On May 12, mobility outlet BikeRumor reported that the Unicorn Pony is a smaller version of Ten07's existing Unicorn model, which was designed to move easily even in small apartments and corridors.
The Unicorn Pony's key feature is a mixed wheel setup. It uses a 20-inch front wheel and 24-inch rear wheel, reducing the wheelbase and sharpening steering response. Ten07 said the smaller front wheel helps place cargo weight lower, which also supports stability.
The frame structure also differs from the existing Unicorn. The fork sits directly under the handlebar and is designed without a separate link system. It adds a fork mount and rear rack mounting points to expand cargo options. It can carry up to 50 kg of cargo and supports riders up to 100 kg, with a total load of up to 130 kg. The frame comes in one size, but cockpit height adjustment supports users from 1.5 to 2.0 metres tall.
It also strengthens details for usability. The fork and down tube have three-pack mounts for additional cargo and support both standard and custom racks. Various combinations are available, including belt drive, sliding dropouts, through-axle and quick-release. Dynamo wiring for front and rear lights is routed internally. Internal routing is also available for a dropper post and front derailleur. A double kickstand can also be fitted.
The company set the price at 999 euros for the frameset and 2,249 euros for the complete bike. It comes in three colours: Confetti, Night Rider and a limited-edition Raw. The complete-bike specification is not exactly the same as the "Dream Build" shown in released images. Pre-orders are under way and shipping is targeted for November.
A Ten07 official said the Unicorn Pony further segments urban cargo bike options with a smaller body than the existing Unicorn and a lower cargo position. The official said it is a model that captures both practicality and agility optimised for small living spaces.
