The Korea International Trade Association (KITA) is recruiting companies to participate in the Korea pavilion at electronica 2026, the world’s largest electronic components exhibition, to be held in Munich, Germany, in November. KITA said on May 13 it will jointly select 10 participating companies with the Korea Federation of SMEs. Small and medium-sized companies across all 16 electronica sectors can apply, including semiconductors, sensors, displays, automotive electronics, power supply and communications.

electronica is a biennial B2B exhibition for electronic components and systems. It is a global trading platform where OEM and tier-1 component purchasing and design engineers from around the world gather. At the most recent edition in 2024, 3,486 companies from 58 countries participated. A total of 80,203 visitors from 113 countries attended, with 76 percent of exhibitors and 54 percent of visitors coming from outside Germany. This year’s event runs for 4 days from Nov. 10 to 13.

The Korea pavilion will be set up in Hall B3 with an area of 99 square meters. It will consist of 11 basic booths of 9 square meters each and 1 joint promotional booth. Hall B3 is located in the centre of the venue, with a short route from the main entrance and easy access to adjacent exhibition halls. Combined with the concurrent events SEMICON Europa and the electronica Automotive Conference, it can broaden touchpoints with European vehicle electronics and semiconductor decision-makers.

KITA will support participating companies by covering 70 percent each of booth rental fees, registration fees and installation costs, 100 percent of one-way sea freight costs (based on 1 CBM per company), and 50 percent of interpretation costs. Basic items such as lighting, standard wall panels, floor carpeting, company name signboards, shelves, display stands and consultation tables will be provided, allowing participants to focus on product displays and buyer meetings without separate booth design. The participation deposit is 5.5 million won per booth, and the final participation fee will be confirmed after settlement of actual costs.

Ha Juyeon (하주연), a deputy head of KITA’s MICE Planning Office, said electronica is the world’s largest specialised exhibition in the electronics industry, offering a comprehensive look at the latest technologies and trends in the global electronics and semiconductor industries. It is an optimal platform where participating companies can achieve tangible results such as building global partnerships and creating export opportunities, she said. She added that the exhibition is expected to help South Korean companies strengthen competitiveness in key global markets, including Europe, and create a turning point for expanding exports.
