Woori Bank said on Tuesday it has begun issuing the prepaid "Nol World Card" for foreign tourists on site at Incheon International Airport, launched with Nol Universe and Kona I.
The service is a follow-up measure to a three-party business agreement signed in March. It was designed to let foreign tourists receive the card immediately after arrival and use domestic payment and currency exchange services right away.
Users can access exchange, top-up and withdrawal services at airport currency exchange counters as well as Woori Bank branches nationwide, ATMs, unmanned currency exchange machines and partner kiosks.
The card also offers partner benefits that reflect foreign tourists' spending patterns. It includes discounts and benefits at lifestyle and shopping brands such as Olive Young, Musinsa and GS25.
To mark the card's launch, the bank is also running a promotion offering a Musinsa Beauty welcome kit to customers who exchange 300,000 won or more.
Kim Go-woon (김고운), deputy general manager at Woori Bank's foreign exchange business department, said the bank will continue to expand partners and upgrade functions to improve financial convenience for foreign customers and satisfaction with travel in South Korea.
