Shinhan Bank is moving to build a long-term cooperation system with Seoul National University, supporting university operations and expanding financial services for its members.

Shinhan Bank said on May 12 it signed a business agreement with Seoul National University on May 11 at the university’s Gwanak campus in Gwanak-gu, Seoul, for long-term co-growth.

The two institutions agreed to strengthen their financial partnership and broaden cooperation across education, research and administration, based on a cooperative relationship that has continued since 1998.

Under the agreement, Shinhan Bank plans to provide financial services needed for university operations as Seoul National University’s key financial partner and support financial convenience services for faculty, staff and students.

Shinhan Bank CEO Sang-hyeok Jeong (정상혁) said, "As a financial partner supporting Seoul National University across education, research and administration, we will provide more convenient and innovative financial services."

Seoul National University President Honglim Yoo (유홍림) said, "We will further accelerate innovation spanning education, research and social responsibility."
