Noluniverse said on Monday it has hired Oliver Libutzki (올리버 리부츠키) as head of global business. Libutzki is a travel industry expert who has overseen business in more than 20 countries at global travel technology companies including Agoda, Tourlane and Hopper. Noluniverse said it plans to boost its overseas competitiveness and strengthen its position in the global market through the hire.

Libutzki will oversee overseas accommodation, packages, T&A (tours and activities) and air travel. He will pursue synergies across businesses, strengthen product competitiveness and improve operating efficiency. He will also be responsible for establishing and executing mid- to long-term strategy. He is also set to lead the fast-growing inbound business, absorbing demand for travel to South Korea driven by the spread of K-content and expanding the company's overseas business network.

Libutzki was an early member of Agoda and served as an associate vice president overseeing business development, including sourcing and supply of products and market expansion in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa and India. The company said he demonstrated supply chain-building capabilities by securing more than 150,000 directly contracted inventory listings in the Asia-Pacific region within 7 years.

He later led digitalisation of the entire product supply and booking process and an AI transformation at European travel technology company Tourlane, growing it into a major travel technology company in the region. At Canada-based Hopper, he served as a vice president overseeing product supply in the Asia-Pacific region.

"I am glad to join Noluniverse, which is rapidly expanding its influence in the global market beyond South Korea," Libutzki said. "I will join the process of innovating Noluniverse's global business and continue to provide customers worldwide with a differentiated travel experience," he said.
