Analytics software company SAS is expanding integration with major external data platforms including Snowflake, Databricks and Microsoft Fabric.
Techzine reported on May 8 that Jared Peterson (재러드 피터슨), SAS' senior vice president of global engineering, said the core is to bring SAS analytics capabilities directly into data platforms that SAS Viya platform users already use.
Newly introduced SAS SpeedyStore supports analyzing data where it resides, without moving it elsewhere.
Integration with Databricks began in mid-2025. SAS can now run SAS AI models directly inside the Databricks environment by supporting Databricks Spark. Processing speeds for large volumes of data also increased. SAS analytics tools also connect with Snowflake without moving data.
SAS is also strengthening cooperation with Microsoft. SAS last year implemented its decision automation and management tool, Intelligent Decisioning, to run on Microsoft Fabric. Peterson explained that Microsoft does not plan to enter that area for the time being, putting SAS in a good position to work together.
