ServiceNow and Amazon Web Services (AWS) expanded their partnership, including integrating AI agent governance and adding native development tools.

ServiceNow said its AWS Marketplace revenue has topped $1 billion.

The collaboration was announced at ServiceNow's annual Knowledge 2026 event. ServiceNow is expanding integration with AWS as it seeks to position itself as an AI agent governance platform spanning multiple platforms.

The main areas of cooperation fall into 4 categories. ServiceNow AI Specialists and AWS AI agents will jointly handle workflows in security, IT operations and telecommunications.

ServiceNow AI Specialists and various AWS agents can also be integrated under a single architecture. The ServiceNow SDK is natively integrated into the AWS Kiro platform, allowing developers to build and deploy ServiceNow applications and agents directly in the AWS integrated development environment (IDE).

AWS developers can also use prompt engineering for application scaffolding, workflow setup and AI agent creation.

ServiceNow said it is working with Anthropic to support a headless approach. This enables the platform to be expanded through agentic interfaces built outside the platform.

Capabilities currently available include integration of ServiceNow AI Control Tower on AWS Marketplace with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, AI Specialist workflows for telecommunications, and the ServiceNow SDK for Kiro. Integration of AWS AI agents with ServiceNow AI Specialists is scheduled to be available later this year.
