[DigitalToday reporter Jinju Hong (홍진주)] Global electronics brand INIU has launched an ultra-compact 10,000 mAh power bank, the Pocket Rocket P50, to target the portable charger market.

According to IT outlet PhoneArena on May 7 local time, the product touts a design close to the size of a macaroon cookie, while highlighting a 10,000 mAh capacity and up to 45W output as core strengths.

The Pocket Rocket P50 measures 8.3 x 5.2 x 2.6 cm and weighs 160 grams. INIU introduced it as small and light yet able to fully recharge an iPhone 17 Pro Max or a Galaxy S26 Ultra and still have power left. Small power banks are seen as portable but lacking in capacity, and the product is positioned as narrowing that gap.

It also put charging speed front and center. The Pocket Rocket P50 operates at up to 45W, and INIU said smartphones that support ultra-fast charging standards can be charged from 1 percent to 70 percent in 25 minutes. INIU stressed that the common notion that people must carry a larger power bank when they need more energy is "wrong," highlighting that it achieved both compact size and capacity.

Portability was also presented as a differentiator. The USB-C cable was designed not just as a charging wire but also to be used like a strap. It said this makes it easy to hook onto a bag or carry in a pocket. It also applied multiple colors and a large display so users can check charging status and related information at a glance. The product presentation also focused on various use cases such as daily commuting, business trips, travel and event venues, rather than simply listing specifications.

As a small, high-density battery product, it also highlighted heat generation and safety management. INIU said it applied a multi-tab structure battery cell to the Pocket Rocket P50 to improve efficiency and heat dissipation performance. It also said it included an e-marker chip for charging safety, a digital display design that considers heat dispersion, and an internal thermal management system. The company said it made the product reliable and robust, and pointed to a structure that suppresses overheating during charging as a core element.

This setup aligns with a trend in the power bank market toward weighing portability, charging speed and safety, rather than competing only on capacity. With longer smartphone battery life but continued demand for external charging among higher-performance devices, the focus is on how persuasive a product combining an ultra-compact form factor with high-output charging can be.

INIU also offers a customized engraving service. When purchased on its website, engraving can be added, positioning it to target demand for personal use as well as gifts. The Pocket Rocket P50 was positioned as a strategic product that combines a small size with a 10,000 mAh capacity, 45W fast charging and a heat-management design, aiming to highlight real-world convenience in the portable accessories market.
