Shinhan Financial Group said on May 7 that it held a "Parents' Day Love Health Sharing Volunteer Activity" on May 6 at the Gangbuk Senior Welfare Center in Seoul's Gangbuk district, joined by Chairman Jin Ok-dong (진옥동) and affiliate CEOs.

The volunteer activity is Shinhan Financial's flagship social contribution programme, held each year in Family Month with executives and employees taking part together.

About 40 employees and volunteers made 334 fruit kits containing oranges, apples and pears. They visited elderly households in Gangbuk district in person to deliver the kits along with thank-you cards wishing them good health and checking on their well-being.

Jin said he prepared the volunteer activity with employees for Family Month. He said the group would continue to share warmth with neighbours in local communities and build a sustainable culture of giving.
