Global cybersecurity company Palo Alto Networks will acquire AI gateway startup Portkey.
Portkey has provided a central control platform that manages and protects autonomous AI agents. It currently processes several trillion tokens a month and supports low-latency communication between agents.
After the acquisition closes, Palo Alto Networks plans to integrate Portkey into its AI runtime security platform, Prisma AIRS, as an AI gateway. Portkey will monitor and route all AI traffic within a company and apply security.
Lee Klarich (리 클라리치), Palo Alto Networks' chief product and technology officer, said, "As autonomous agents join the enterprise workforce, a new unmanaged attack surface has emerged." He added, "Integrating Portkey into Prisma AIRS enables companies to deploy and manage AI agents with confidence."
