OneStore is marking its 10th anniversary by rolling out a web-based payment platform and a no-installation game service, evolving into an integrated app marketplace that covers everything from downloads to payment and play.

OneStore on April 30 unveiled its direct-to-consumer (D2C) payment platform OneWebshop and its instant-play, no-installation game service OnePlay Game, and announced an all-in-one store vision.

OneWebshop is a web-based D2C payment infrastructure directly provided by an app marketplace operator. Items can be sold for an 8 percent fee, including payment gateway charges. It can be accessed without platform limits, including on Android, iOS and PC. OneStore is preparing to onboard about 40 products and plans a formal launch at the end of next month.

OnePlay Game is a service that lets users launch games instantly within the OneStore app without installing a separate app. OneStore plans to work with Tencent to offer a mini-game experience. The service will formally launch next month after a pilot run.

OneStore, launched in 2016, posted cumulative transaction volume of 8 trillion won and 7.4 billion downloads over the past 10 years.

OneStore CEO Park Tae-young (박태영) said, "If the past 10 years were a journey of growth through lowering fees, the next 10 years will be a process of expanding the role of the app marketplace." He said, "Under the all-in-one store vision, we will open the next generation of app marketplaces where downloads, payment and play take place on a single platform."
