[Digital Today reporter Chi-gyu Hwang] Salesforce has launched an AI system for back office automation called Agentforce Operations, SiliconANGLE reported on Tuesday.

Agentforce Operations has AI agents identify company culture, business logic, security, workforce roles and corporate data, then build and maintain automated workflows, the report said. When there are backend changes, the agents adapt on their own and also meet security audit and compliance requirements. If major changes occur, it sends alerts to the person in charge.

For example, when a new regulation is introduced, an agent draws up a change plan after an administrator issues a natural-language instruction by email, then requests approval and carries out the plan.

Sanjna Parulekar (산즈나 파룰레카르), senior vice president of product marketing at Salesforce, said, "Agentforce Operations is a product aimed at the back office," adding, "The goal is to handle simple repetitive tasks that bog down work. AI must not be allowed to act freely without any control. It is important to clearly divide areas where people need to be involved and areas the agents should handle."

Salesforce developed Agentforce Operations based on its acquisition of Regrello, a company specialising in business process automation.

Parulekar said, "The Regrello acquisition helped us think about how, when business users input work processes, AI can suggest optimisation measures while maintaining control in areas that require human judgement."

Salesforce says it provides key workflow templates by default, allowing users to start Agentforce Operations within minutes without building it from scratch. A no-code automation tool called Flow and an automatic data synchronisation feature are set to begin beta service in May.
