SK Broadband said on Tuesday its 'AI 5 set-top box' and 'Giga WiFi 7' won the main prize at Germany’s Red Dot Design Award 2026, one of the world’s three major design awards.
It was the company’s fourth Red Dot win, following awards for the 'AI 2 set-top box' in 2020, the 'AI Sound Max set-top box' in 2021 and the 'AI 4 vision set-top box' in 2025.
The two products had also won Japan’s Good Design Award and the main prize at Germany’s iF Design Award 2026 in March, achieving a sweep of three international design awards.
The company explained that the two products pursued a 'home object' direction, based on minimalism and designed to blend naturally with living spaces.
Cho Hyung-joon (조형준), head of SK Broadband’s Media Tech Division, said the awards showed the products’ competitiveness and design direction had been recognised on the global stage. He said the company would continue to introduce customer-friendly devices that reflect original design and technological capabilities.
