Kakao said on April 29 it has launched a new "Share Together" feature on Kakaotalk Gifts that allows vouchers to be used with family members and acquaintances.
Share Together allows users to share and manage vouchers that were previously kept individually with members of a family account. It reduced the inconvenience of having to capture an image or copy a message and send it each time a voucher was shared.
Users can use the feature by creating a family account or joining an existing account in the "Share Together" tab in the Kakaotalk gift box. Members can check the shared vouchers' expiry dates and whether they have been used in real time. It also provides notifications when a voucher is used to prevent duplicate use.
A Kakao official said, "This Share Together feature focuses on using vouchers flexibly and enhancing connectivity among members," adding, "We will continue to upgrade service features so users can enjoy a convenient and richer gifting experience."
