NCSoft said on April 24 it held a “Dialogue with the CEO” event on April 23 at its Pangyo research and development (R&D) center in Seongnam, Gyeonggi province, for its 2026 new recruits.
At the event, CEO Kim Taek-jin discussed competitiveness in the artificial intelligence (AI) era, game development philosophy and the company’s direction with the new employees.
Kim cited insight as a capability needed in the AI era. “As AI technology advances, insight has become important,” he said. “To be competitive, you need the insight to grasp the essence and meaning of work,” he added.
On game development, he said he hopes they will make games that can deliver fun beyond logical explanations and limitations.
Kim said new recruits who were in the same place 10 years ago are now at the center of the company. He urged them to lead NCSoft to its next stage faster than that.
NCSoft has run the onboarding programme, “Dialogue with the CEO,” since it began open recruitment of new employees in 2006. It shares corporate spirit and future strategy with new hires.
