Cafe24 launched an artificial intelligence-based shopping mall design renewal feature for customers using its Cafe24 Pro (PRO) service, the company said on Thursday.

The AI-based shopping mall design renewal feature automatically generates designs based on brand information, product assortment and customer usage data, and proposes customised designs to operators. It reduces the burden of design work and helps operators set up an optimised shopping mall environment more quickly.

Users can apply for design generation through a one-click free suggestion request in the design vault on the admin page. Five responsive designs are provided within about 15 minutes. Users can preview the suggested designs, select the one they want and apply it. If needed, they can also generate new designs again to compare and choose.

When a design is applied, the entire shopping mall skin is changed at once. Major layouts such as the main page structure, large banners, category menus and strip banners are set based on the new design. Product displays are also reflected automatically to match the skin. It is also optimised simultaneously for PC and mobile environments based on a responsive structure. The existing design is preserved in the design vault and can be restored at any time if needed.

The designs come in 5 concepts: a basic type that can be applied across various industries; a business-to-business (B2B) specialised type that considers bulk purchases and corporate customers; a visual-focused type that highlights brand individuality; a side menu type optimised for category navigation; and a mobile-specialised type optimised for mobile environments. Detailed elements are reflected according to each shopping mall's characteristics.

Cafe24 expects the feature to reduce the time and cost burden shopping mall operators have faced during design renewal processes and help them build a more efficient operating environment. In the past, design renewals often required separate costs and time, but the feature allows operators to review and apply various designs in a relatively short time.

Cafe24 plans to continue upgrading its data-based recommendation functions, improve user convenience and expand the design automation area. Through this, it aims to provide an environment that allows anyone to set up shopping mall designs more easily and improve operating efficiency.

Cafe24 CEO Lee Jae-seok (이재석) said the company focused its overall technology development so that shopping mall operators can reduce the time and cost burden of design work. He said it will continue to help improve efficiency across shopping mall operations through Cafe24 Pro and create an environment where customers can focus on business growth.
