Hana Financial Group said on Thursday it will recruit participants through April 15 for the “Hana Power On Innovative Enterprise Internship” programme, targeting employment-vulnerable groups such as people with disabilities, women returning to work, youths and new seniors.
The programme is Hana Financial’s flagship social value creation project. It aims to connect social innovation companies with job seekers to promote corporate growth and job creation at the same time.
It will select a total of 250 people this year, expanding recruitment from a year earlier. Internship pay has also been increased, with participants receiving up to 2.3 million won a month for three months.
In addition to wages, it will provide a customised growth support allowance worth 150,000 won a month, 100,000 won a month for participants who are family members of small business owners, and a 300,000 won a month education support grant for women returning to work from multi-child households. It will also run job skills programmes, including common competency training once a month and AI use training up to twice a month.
Social innovation companies that hire participating interns will receive support for labour costs for three months. If interns are converted to regular employees, the companies will receive an additional two months of labour cost support to encourage continued job creation.
This year, it will expand opportunities for people from diverse backgrounds by including marriage migrant women among those eligible for support for women returning to work.
A Hana Financial official said the group is expanding opportunities for economic activity for people from various backgrounds beyond simply providing jobs. The official said it will continue sustainable social value creation programmes.
