Miso Information Technology, a company specialising in multimodal data platforms, said on Tuesday it has completed registration of 7 new patents in next-generation technologies including artificial intelligence (AI), extended reality (XR) and image processing.
The newly registered patents span a range of technology areas including AI, XR, HR (human resources management), visual recognition, speech recognition, distributed resource optimisation and spatial computing. The company said it expects them to contribute to its multimodal data platform and the advancement of agentic AI.
Key patents include 3 metaverse-based HR technologies such as a human resources management system and method using the metaverse, and a device and method for building virtual spaces based on a metaverse environment. They also include 2 next-generation display and vision technologies such as beam projector distortion correction using deep learning-based user gaze tracking. The portfolio also includes a thesaurus-based speech recognition error correction technology and 2 AI application technologies such as an AI optimisation control system for distributed idle resources.
Chief Executive Sang-do Nam (남상도) said, "This patent registration is significant in that it has secured a foundation for AI and data platform technologies to expand into various industries." He said, "We will protect and secure rights for the technological capabilities accumulated over about 20 years in key industries such as healthcare, manufacturing and construction, and strengthen competitiveness in global markets."
