If the CLARITY bill being debated in the U.S. Congress passes and XRP is integrated into the U.S. banking system, the easing of regulatory uncertainty is raising talk of a potential price re-rating.

On Feb. 20, blockchain outlet The Crypto Basic reported that Ripple Chief Executive Brad Garlinghouse (브래드 갈링하우스) is forecasting a 90 percent chance the CLARITY bill will pass. He explained that if regulatory clarity is secured, it will have a positive impact on the altcoin market, including XRP.

The CLARITY bill is currently delayed by debate over whether stablecoins should pay interest. Banks oppose the move, worried that if stablecoins offer interest, existing deposits will shift to cryptocurrencies. Garlinghouse recently said in a Fox Business interview, "If the bill passes, there is a high possibility that XRP will be fully integrated with the U.S. financial system."

Google's artificial intelligence model Gemini presented three price scenarios on the assumption that XRP is integrated with the U.S. banking system. In the first stage, it said prices could rise to a range of $5 to $10 as XRP is classified as a digital commodity. In the second stage, it forecast a possible rise to $15 to $30 if regulatory clarity strengthens and major U.S. banks begin using XRP for liquidity management. Finally, it also raised a scenario in which XRP breaks above $100 if it becomes the core liquidity layer of the U.S. banking network.

XRP is currently trading around $1.40. Some also say it is difficult to be definitive about short-term price moves because Gemini's scenarios are assumptions based on the premise that regulatory clarification and adoption by the financial sector actually proceed. The market cites the pace of progress in legislative discussions, and whether U.S. banks can actually use XRP as a means of payment and liquidity management, as key variables that will determine the future direction.
