Trust Wallet, a digital wallet owned by Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (창펑 자오), introduced a cryptocurrency trading function using AI agents, The Block reported on March 26.
Trust Wallet unveiled "TWAK (Trust Wallet Agent Kit)" on its official blog. TWAK is an infrastructure that allows AI agents to execute real cryptocurrency trades across more than 25 blockchains within rules set by users. It can also handle cross-chain swaps and recurring purchases across networks including Solana and Bitcoin.
The cryptocurrency industry is already active in AI-based automation experiments. The industry is moving quickly toward having AI agents manage portfolios and execute trades directly.
TWAK offers two operating methods. The first is a method in which an AI agent holds its own wallet and automatically executes trades according to set rules. The second is a method in which users directly approve trades after AI proposes them.
In the blog, Trust Wallet said, "In WalletConnect mode, AI can help with portfolio research, suggestions and execution without holding user keys," adding, "Users keep control." Trust Wallet was acquired by Binance in 2018 and is now run as an independent corporation.
