Weather app Nalssidol is introducing a real-time ballpark weather service to help baseball fans prepare to attend games in person. It is a ballpark-tailored service that covers everything from rainout worries to clothing and game-day preparations in one place.

IT information service company Hecto Innovation said on Thursday it has installed weather observation devices near nine domestic baseball stadiums and will provide ultra-precise real-time weather updates on Nalssidol at five-minute intervals. While the minimum coverage for existing weather information is at the administrative neighborhood level, Nalssidol relays key on-site information needed for attending games in person every five minutes, including temperature, humidity, wind speed, precipitation and ultraviolet index, securing the most accurate on-the-ground precision.

Nalssidol's existing daily management features also help baseball fans prepare for attending games. Its "Weather Closet" suggests fashion coordination suitable for wearing under a uniform based on real-time perceived temperature. Its "D-Day Weather Calendar" continues to update changes in weather on the day of a game at a selected stadium.

To mark the launch of the real-time weather service, Nalssidol will also run a ticket giveaway event. Users who take part in weather- and baseball-related quizzes in the Nalssidol app will receive entry coupons and can apply for baseball game tickets for the date they want.

Lee Hyun-chul (이현철), chief executive of Hecto Innovation, said, "As a weather app made by a die-hard baseball fan, it will provide the information baseball fans need most, resolve their concerns about attending games in person and bring them enjoyment." He added, "Starting with the real-time ballpark weather service, we will expand real-time weather services to theme parks and tourist attractions and move to build an ultra-precise weather ecosystem."

Nalssidol, which started with the concept of a "stone that tells the weather," is a "lifestyle weather platform" that goes beyond simply delivering weather information by managing users' daily lives and style. Through real-time alerts, users can easily check weather information for the region and time slot they want. Users can also select only the information they want, including temperature, perceived temperature, fine dust and precipitation, and display it on their smartphone home screen for convenient everyday use.
