NH Investment & Securities said on March 26 it will launch its first Investment Management Account (IMA) product that invests in corporate finance assets.
The newly launched N2 IMA1 Medium-Term Type No. 1 is a round-issued product with a 2.5-year maturity. Subscriptions will be taken from March 31 to April 6 during branch business hours. The total offering is capped at 400 billion won and may close early if the limit is reached.
The product is managed mainly around assets related to corporate fundraising, including acquisition finance and corporate loans. It is structured to build returns based on stability.
It diversifies across multiple corporate finance assets to reduce reliance on any single asset. It seeks additional returns compared with market interest rates through stable management.
Returns are determined by management performance, and the reference return rate is 4 percent per year. A performance fee applies to results exceeding that level. If held to maturity, NH Investment & Securities has a structure that promises payment of principal. It is a closed-end product and early redemption is limited.
Chief Executive Officer Byeong-woon Yoon (윤병운) said, "IMA is a new investment method that connects companies and investors. It will provide customers with a stable investment vehicle and play a role in supplying mid- to long-term funds to companies." He added, "We will deliver stable management performance based on our credit standing and IB capabilities."
