SK Shieldus said on March 26 it will cooperate with global testing and certification body TUV SUD Korea to help companies expanding overseas respond to OT/ICS security compliance requirements.

SK Shieldus signed a memorandum of understanding with TUV SUD Korea to strengthen its operational technology (OT) and industrial control system (ICS) security business. The agreement was 추진됐다 to support domestic companies pursuing overseas business in improving their ability to respond to OT security compliance amid changes in the global cybersecurity regulatory environment.

Under the agreement, the companies plan to jointly support domestic firms in responding to OT security regulations and preparing for certification. SK Shieldus will support the build-out of corporate security systems through OT security assessments and consulting, and TUV SUD Korea will provide testing, audits and certification services based on global standards.

They also plan to seek new certification business opportunities to respond to global cybersecurity regulations, while expanding cooperation through information provision and joint marketing for companies that need certification.

Jae-woo Lee (이재우), head of the Cyber Technology Division at SK Shieldus, said, "As global cybersecurity regulations are strengthened, responding to OT security compliance has become a key factor that determines companies' competitiveness in overseas business." He said SK Shieldus will, based on cooperation with global certification bodies, gradually build a support system that covers OT security overall, from security assessments and consulting to security architecture design and advanced operating systems, and will continue to help domestic companies effectively meet global security regulations.
