KakaoBank said it will launch on Tuesday a service called 'Find Special-Price Accommodations' in partnership with global travel platform Agoda, allowing users to book discounted accommodation worldwide.

The service is designed to let users compare and book Agoda's special-price accommodation deals on the KakaoBank app. Users can search destinations directly or use the 'leaderboard' function to check popular destinations while looking for accommodation. It can be accessed through the app's 'AI tab' or 'Benefits tab.'

Customers can also receive a small cash reward once a day while searching for destinations, dates and room information. Agoda special-price accommodation deals will include an additional 7 percent discount exclusive to KakaoBank, and some popular destinations will be discounted by up to 10 percent.

To mark the launch, it will also run a card-payment discount promotion. It will offer an immediate 10 percent discount on the reservation amount for payments made with KB Kookmin Card debit cards. It also plans to add benefits for customers paying with KakaoBank debit cards (Mastercard) starting on April 6.

The service was 추진됐다 as part of a strategy to expand everyday convenience services beyond finance. KakaoBank has introduced lifestyle services such as paying taxes and public charges and managing Hi-Pass, and in September last year it launched a 'Book Overseas Travel' service. Through this partnership, it will also cover demand for independent travel and provide integrated travel-related functions within the app.
