Dunamu said on March 23 it had successfully completed “Challenge! Finance Golden Bell” (Finance Golden Bell), a digital finance education programme for seniors held from March 17 to 19.
Finance Golden Bell is a public-private joint education programme run by Dunamu in cooperation with the Senior Financial Education Council, a nonprofit public-interest foundation under the Financial Services Commission, and the Financial Supervisory Service, to prevent digital finance exclusion among older adults.
A total of 1,600 seniors aged 50 and older applied for the programme, which was held online in four sessions from March 17 to 19.
The programme consisted of lectures followed by a quiz. The lectures covered retirement fund management, market trends and government policy, how to prevent and respond to financial fraud, and basic concepts of digital assets. A remote live quiz that followed increased participants’ interest and focus.
Dunamu CEO Kyung-seok Oh (오경석) said he was pleased to have created a meaningful occasion for seniors and the public and private sectors to communicate through finance. He said the company would continue to roll out tailored digital finance education spanning all generations.
