[DigitalToday reporter Ho-jung Lee] Devsisters held its online showcase DevNow 2026 on March 21 and announced a vision to evolve into a global intellectual property (IP) company based on Cookie Run, which has 300 million cumulative users.
Devsisters presented a blueprint to grow Cookie Run into a content platform connecting with fans worldwide and to expand the IP into existing live games, new projects and offline cultural areas.
As a first step to put that plan into action, it unveiled a new lineup of titles as its next growth engine. Cookie Run: OvenSmash, a real-time battle action game set for global official launch on March 26, applies an urban fantasy worldview and introduces new content such as "Gnome Battle" and "Jelly Race".
In the second half of this year, it will release the idle RPG Cookie Run: Crumble. It spotlights characters that appeared early in the series or are of a low tier as "Alternative Cookies". Cookie Run: New World, an open-world game that supports cross-platform play on PC, consoles and mobile devices, is in development with the goal of being unveiled in 2029.
It also announced roadmaps for five existing live games. Cookie Run: Kingdom will expand its universe through "War of the Timeline of Fate" in May and will run a "K-pop Demon Hunters" collaboration in April. Cookie Run: OvenBreak will upgrade its "Map Maker" feature with a Season 11 update in April. Cookie Run: Tower of Adventures, Cookie Run: Witch's Castle and Cookie Run Classic are also set to roll out anniversary updates.
The company will expand the IP beyond games into everyday life. It will open a pop-up store in Times Square in New York in April and hold the Cookie Run: Braverse trading card game (TCG) world championship. It will also launch Cookie Run Card Collection globally on the Roblox platform within this year.
In offline venues in South Korea, it will run events linked to a Lotte World Aquarium collaboration starting March 27, a Lotte World Tower Sky Run, and the Busan UNESCO World Heritage Committee meeting. In 2027, it plans to introduce "Project AR" using augmented reality (AR) technology.
Devsisters CEO Gil-hyun Cho (조길현) said, "This year, we are pushing to expand IP experiences, worldviews, genres, platforms and cultural areas centered on Cookie Run." He said, "We will make concrete the possibilities showcased at DevNow 2026 and make the leap to a global IP company."
