Samsung Electronics has ranked No. 1 in the global commercial display market for 17 consecutive years. Omdia said in its "Q4 2025 Public Display Report" released on March 19 that Samsung Electronics posted a 35.2 percent share in 2025 by sales volume. It also sold more than 2.5 million units that year, the highest sales volume on record.
Samsung Electronics' commercial display lineup consists of smart signage, e-boards and business TVs. The company provided products while launching new models and expanding next-generation displays in parallel. Last year, it broadened its lineup by introducing products including "Spatial Signage" and "Samsung Color E-Paper".
Spatial Signage is equipped with Samsung Electronics' proprietary "3D Plate" technology to create a three-dimensional effect in a slim structure with a thickness of 52 mm. An 85-inch model is currently available, and the company plans to expand the lineup to various sizes. The product won the Innovation Award in the enterprise technology category at "CES 2026", the product category at the "iF Design Award 2026", and six categories at "ISE 2026".
Samsung Color E-Paper, an ultra-low-power display, added a 13-inch model at about A4 size following an existing 32-inch model. The 13-inch model is the world's first display to apply bio resin based on vegetable plankton oil. The company explained that it reduced carbon emissions during the manufacturing stage by more than 40 percent compared with petroleum-based resin of the same weight. Samsung Electronics plans to expand the use of bio resin materials across its Color E-Paper lineup.
Samsung Electronics is also strengthening its solutions business along with hardware. "Samsung VXT", a dedicated solution for commercial displays, supports remote device management, real-time monitoring and content creation and operation functions. Customers can use VXT to remotely manage various screens installed at stores worldwide and distribute promotional content through in-house creation tools or apps.
The AI-based app "AI Studio", which can create video content for signage using a single photo, will be added to Samsung VXT next month. When a user enters a product image and a prompt, a video for signage is generated automatically. Samsung VXT is sold separately, and supported regions vary by country.
Hyungjae Kim (김형재), a vice president at Samsung Electronics' Visual Display Business, said, "Ranking No. 1 in the global commercial display market for 17 consecutive years is the result of responding quickly to a changing business environment and B2B customer needs." He added, "We will continue to provide the best value to customers through products and solutions optimized for various commercial spaces."
