Global cryptocurrency trading and market making firm GSR is acquiring Architech and Autonomous for $57 million to ramp up its token management business, The Block reported on March 17.
GSR said the acquisitions will strengthen its token advisory and lifecycle management capabilities.
Under the deal, Autonomous will keep its existing brand under GSR and serve as a platform for token launches, finance and operations. Architech will be deployed to bolster GSR’s digital asset advisory business.
GSR plans to provide broad support to companies preparing to issue tokens, including governance design, tokenomics and treasury operations. Kraken and Anchorage have recently made similar moves by acquiring token management platforms.
GSR also plans to strengthen support not only for token launches but also for infrastructure design, risk management, volatility operations, and portfolio building and diversification.
