Shinhan Bank said on Wednesday it will run an event through April 17 for customers who sign up for bancassurance products on Shinhan SOL Bank.
Bancassurance is a financial service in which banks sell insurers’ products on a consignment basis, allowing customers to compare and sign up for various insurance products at a bank.
Under the event, Shinhan will draw 300 winners from customers who sign up for savings-type or protection-type insurance through Shinhan SOL Bank and pay monthly premiums of 100,000 won or make a lump-sum premium payment of at least 1 million won. It will provide gift certificates for a BBQ Golden Olive Chicken and cola. Prizes will be given only to customers who keep their policies until May 20.
A Shinhan Bank official said the event was prepared to promote a service that allows customers who set up a New Year financial plan to sign up conveniently through Shinhan SOL Bank. The official said the bank will continue to improve non-face-to-face insurance services, including mobile and internet services.
