Samsung Electronics will unveil an immersive exhibition at Milan Design Week 2026 themed on the relationship between technology and people. Samsung said on Monday it will take part in Milan Design Week 2026 from April 20 local time and present an exhibition titled “Design is an Act of Love.”
The exhibition is designed as an immersive space that explores the human side of technology through dialogue between experimental concept designs and the latest products. The venue will operate in the form of the Samsung Design Open Lab. Designed as a laboratory for exploration, experimentation and discovery, it will let visitors experience how ideas take shape. Samsung said it will show how human-centred, expressive design changes technology into something more personal and emotional in daily life.
The company emphasised that the Milan exhibition is one part of Samsung Electronics’ journey to redefine the relationship between technology and everyday life. It also said it is a signal of where its current design vision is headed. On April 22, it will hold a design talk session in collaboration with global design media outlet Dezeen. It is a forum to share Samsung Electronics’ perspective on changes in the relationship between design and humanity.
Milan has special meaning for Samsung Electronics this year. At the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics and Paralympics, which ended on March 15 local time, Samsung Electronics participated as an official worldwide partner of the IOC and IPC. “Victory Selfie” was included as an official part of the awards ceremonies for all Olympic and Paralympic events, and about 3,800 athletes were provided with a “Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition.” Team Samsung Galaxy athletes from 18 countries, 73 people in total, shared their own “Open Always Wins” stories on social media during the Games.
Technical support also continued. Working with OBS, it used 26 “Galaxy S25 Ultra” devices for the live broadcast of the opening ceremony. It provided more than 850 Galaxy devices equipped with the Galaxy AI interpretation function to volunteers to help communication in various languages. It also operated 64 Galaxy charging stations in Milan to support visitor convenience. Samsung Electronics said it put into practice the Olympic message, “Open always wins,” at the Games.
