South Korean OTT platforms Tving and Wavve said on Monday they will mutually supply each other’s original content. Key titles will be released sequentially every Monday, allowing users to enjoy content from both services on a single platform.
Tving will sequentially release on Wavve the Girls’ High School Mystery Club series, the tvN drama Stranger spin-off Good or Bad Dong-jae, Dear X and Pyramid Game. Wavve will provide Tving with The Community, which won the Blue Dragon Series Awards’ top prize for best work, and the survival variety show Bloody Game seasons 1 to 3.
The companies expanded the scope of cooperation through the content exchange after launching bundled products last year, including a “Double Pass” (Tving+Wavve) and a “3 Pack” (Tving+Wavve+Disney+). They plan to broaden mutual supply across various genres, including drama, entertainment and documentaries.
A Tving official said: “By mutually supplying IP representing each platform, we will strengthen cooperation synergies and add vitality to the domestic OTT ecosystem.”
