Fasoo on Feb. 11 delivered a presentation in an information security forum session at the semiconductor exhibition SEMICON Korea 2026, sharing a supply chain security strategy for the semiconductor industry.
Fasoo plans to support stronger security in the semiconductor industry through specialised security strategies. Fasoo gave a presentation at the Cybersecurity Forum session held on the afternoon of Feb. 11 under the theme of "Three basic security strategies for a sustainable semiconductor industry."
Kang Bong-ho (강봉호), an executive director at Fasoo who spoke at the session, said the semiconductor industry security paradigm, which had focused on defence, is shifting toward securing sustainability that ensures operational continuity amid threats as expanding global supply chains coincide with more advanced cyberattacks. He presented three core security strategies aimed at minimising damage on the assumption that incidents occur: strengthening employees' security capabilities, protecting core data during collaboration through encryption and establishing rapid recovery and response systems.
Kang said semiconductor companies need to reorganise security strategies by considering global supply chain complexity, IP protection and operational and production continuity along with cyberattack response. He said Fasoo provides optimised, up-to-date data management and protection strategies based on sufficient understanding of and experience and know-how in the semiconductor industry.
