Future House, a blockchain education institute and community hub, has officially opened in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul, it said on Feb. 12.

Future House is a space for people seeking to participate in the blockchain ecosystem. It does not promote specific projects or provide digital asset investment advice.

Future House offers an education programme comprising formal courses, hands-on workshops and guest lectures. The formal course runs for 6 weeks and focuses on building a basic understanding of blockchain technology and strengthening practical application skills. It will cover blockchain theory basics, on-chain analysis, risk management and security practice, and the structure of the digital asset market.

It also plans various programmes for members only. It will select members based on the level of community participation among applicants. There is no membership fee, but members must take responsibility and participate diligently in programmes.

Future House also plans to run a separate developer track focused on basic blockchain engineering capabilities as part of efforts to create blockchain jobs and build talent in South Korea.

Beyond its educational space, Future House will also provide a dedicated venue where peer learners, builders and company officials shaping the industry can gather. It plans to position itself as a community hub that is both an education institute and a provider of networking opportunities.

Mark Lee (마크 리), a core contributor at Future House, said, "South Korea has always been a place that adopts new technologies first." He added, "By providing systematic education and practical training, and open discussion, we want to help bridge information gaps and help Koreans contribute to the direction of the industry and capture new opportunities in the process."
