JobKorea, an AI and data-based HR tech platform operated by Worksphere, said on Thursday it will hold a free career conference titled "Job-change cheat key from seniors" to share career management and job-change know-how with office workers and job seekers.
The conference was arranged to share job-hunting and job-change strategies from mentors in recruitment and careers, as the season for open recruitment and job searches picks up. With back-to-back first-half open recruitment driving higher interest among job seekers, it was planned as a free online conference so more people can attend.
The event will be held online via Zoom on March 26 from 7 p.m. for about 2 hours 30 minutes. Four experts with experience across industries, roles and career management will share practical insights on writing career descriptions, interview and self-introduction strategies, and career planning know-how.
The first speaker will be Min-seok Cha (차민석), a project manager with a background in consulting at the big four accounting firms. Drawing on experience across organisations from startups to foreign companies, he will introduce self-introduction and interview strategies to raise the chances of acceptance. Next, career consultant Da-bin Yoon (윤다빈) will present on "How to use AI-based practical self-introduction prompts," based on experience making a career shift to an IT company.
Career coach Shell Lim (임셸), known as a job-change specialist consultant, will speak on "Four formulas to turn routine experience into professional experience," and share how to frame repetitive and generic work experience as specialised career experience. Lastly, product strategist Eun-su Cho (조은수) in NYC will share how to design proactive career strategies, focusing on cases of passing document screening at multiple companies.
A JobKorea official said many job seekers feel a lack of information and uncertainty during the job-change preparation process and often miss opportunities to develop their careers. The official said insights from career mentors with their own know-how will help job seekers set realistic job-change strategies and career directions.
