Enterprise software company TmaxSoft said on Feb. 10 it appointed Kim Kye-young (김계영), a former vice president at DK Techin, a Kakao affiliate, as executive vice president and head of its public sector business unit to strengthen its public AX, or artificial intelligence transformation, business.
Kim has worked in IT for 30 years, with stints at companies including LG CNS, LIG System, Oracle and Kakao Group. Before joining TmaxSoft, he served as vice president overseeing business at Kakao Enterprise and DK Techin.
At TmaxSoft, Kim plans to identify business opportunities in a public-sector market being reshaped by AI and cloud, while also focusing on executing the company’s innovation growth roadmap. He also plans to expand business opportunities for the company’s in-development AI and cloud-native business platform.
Kim, head of TmaxSoft’s public sector business unit, said the company is emerging as a provider of full-stack capabilities to realise “sovereign AI”. He said he would support the company’s future journey to grow into a new focal point in the AI ecosystem.
