CJ Freshway said on March 11 that its kids food ingredients brand Inuri signed an exclusive distribution agreement with infant food company Bebecook.

Bebecook is an infant food company that holds about 40 percent of the domestic baby food market. CJ Freshway and Bebecook will share their distribution channels to expand the market. They also plan to develop joint products to strengthen product competitiveness.

Under the agreement, Inuri will exclusively supply some Bebecook products to daycare centers and kindergartens. The companies also plan to co-develop new products focused on snacks and roll them out sequentially from May.

Inuri will also gradually expand its consumer touchpoints from a focus on business-to-business transactions to business-to-consumer. Inuri will list its private-brand products on Bebecook's online mall, Bebecook Mall. It plans to gradually expand the listed items from snacks to agricultural, fishery and livestock products.

A CJ Freshway official said the company would create synergy with Bebecook across the entire value chain from product planning to distribution and sales. The official added it expects its B2C customer touchpoints to expand through its entry into Bebecook Mall, which has a cumulative 2,000,000 members.
