Korea Investment Securities said on Monday it carried out a consumer campaign to support senior job creation and mutual growth with local communities.
The campaign was planned to help address senior employment issues that have recently emerged as a serious social issue, and the risk of regional extinction due to population declines.
Korea Investment Securities' Pension Innovation Division bought 2,720 handmade flower tea sets produced by social enterprise Hwaitong (花而通) and delivered them to pension customers through the campaign.
Hwaitong is a social enterprise that creates jobs for local seniors, vulnerable groups and young people through flowers, helping communities become self-reliant.
CEO Kim Sung-hwan (김성환) said, "With steady interest, we can realize the social value of the pension business and build a mutual growth model that customers can feel in everyday life." He added, "We plan to continue to pursue various social contribution activities."
