Neowiz said in a filing on Monday that its operating profit for 2025 rose 82.2 percent from a year earlier to 60 billion won. Revenue increased 18 percent to 432.7 billion won. Net profit turned positive at 45.8 billion won.
Neowiz said the results reflected an upgraded business structure built on a balanced portfolio spanning PC and console as well as mobile. "Lies of P" established itself as a global steady seller, while new PC and console titles such as "Shape of Dreams" were successful and strengthened profitability.
It also said mobile intellectual property such as "BrownDust2" maintained solid growth, helping diversify earnings. Downloadable content "Lies of P: Overture" swept the "best expansion" category at global awards including the Golden Joystick Awards and the New York Game Awards, proving the IP's global competitiveness. "DJMAX Respect V" also set a record high in revenue, supported by the success of collaboration DLC including with "Blue Archive".
For the fourth quarter, revenue rose 18.6 percent to 106.3 billion won, while operating profit fell 31.7 percent to 4.7 billion won. Net profit turned positive at 1.9 billion won.
Revenue from the PC and console segment rose 22 percent from a year earlier to 45.9 billion won. "Shape of Dreams", released in September, surpassed cumulative sales of 1 million copies, contributing to revenue growth. Revenue fell 22 percent from the previous quarter as the initial sales effect of "Lies of P: Overture" dropped out.
Mobile segment revenue rose 11 percent from a year earlier to 47.7 billion won, but fell 18 percent from the previous quarter. "BrownDust2" posted a slight quarter-on-quarter decline due to a base effect from its second-anniversary update event and the deferral of December sales, but its 2.5-year anniversary event, under way since Dec. 16, recorded higher performance than the second-anniversary event and has so far maintained a solid traffic trend.
Neowiz said it plans to invest in narrative-based IP in 2026 to secure new titles and further step up its global growth strategy through fandom expansion. Following "Shape of Dreams", it plans to release the indie game "Hello Seoul: Itaewon" in the second half, and will continue efforts to expand its lineup.
It also said "BrownDust2" and "DJMAX Respect V" will step up strategies to expand offline fan experiences based on their fandoms. It plans to strengthen fan-focused activities such as pop-up stores and concerts to improve the profitability of live games.
It also said it will focus more on developing new titles based on a solid development pipeline built around Round8 Studio. It said the next "Lies of P" title, which has attracted strong global interest, has entered full-scale development with concentrated capabilities. It also plans to sequentially unveil various new titles and a publishing lineup according to development progress.
Neowiz also said it will implement a mid- to long-term shareholder return policy based on confidence in growth. Under a policy announced in January, it plans to secure resources of about 12 billion won, equal to 20 percent of its 2025 operating profit, to buy back and cancel treasury shares and pay dividends. It said it will maintain a balance between shareholder returns and growth investment to pursue sustainable value enhancement. Detailed execution plans will be finalised at a regular shareholders' meeting in March.
