Ferrari on Feb. 9 (local time) unveiled the model name and interior design of its pure electric sports car carrying the brand’s vision.
The new car is called the Ferrari Luce, a symbolic model that opens a new chapter in the brand’s shift to electrification. Ferrari defined Luce as a philosophy rather than a specific technology. It presented electrification as a means of creating an unprecedented experience by combining design, engineering and imagination. With a simple, clear layout and quiet but intense energy, it aims to deliver Ferrari’s distinctive driving feel in an electric car.
The Luce name suggests it will become a core model in Ferrari’s lineup. It fused racing heritage, sports car DNA and a modern lifestyle into one, stressing a balance between tradition and innovation. Ferrari and creative group LoveFrom held the reveal jointly in San Francisco.
LoveFrom is a design organisation founded by Jony Ive and Marc Newson, and has been deeply involved in the overall design of Luce over the past 5 years. During development, it worked with the Ferrari Styling Centre led by Flavio Manzoni to meet mass-production and certification requirements.
The interior is based on a unified structure that combines physical controls and digital displays. It applies precisely machined mechanical buttons and dials, 100 percent recycled aluminium and Corning Fusion5 glass, securing durability and intuitiveness at the same time. Every element is refined around function to strengthen interaction between driver and car. Ferrari pre-unveiled key technologies in October 2025 at the Maranello e-building and plans to hold an official launch in Italy in May 2026, including an exterior reveal.
