LG Display has been named to CDP’s carbon management sector honors for the 10th consecutive year in its climate change response assessment. LG Display said on Monday it was selected for 10 straight years for the IT category “carbon management sector honors” in the 2025 CDP climate change response assessment. It also received a top “Leadership A” grade in the water management evaluation.

CDP is a global initiative led by global financial investment institutions that collects, evaluates and discloses environmental management information from major companies worldwide. It is regarded as a leading sustainability assessment along with the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI).

The “carbon management sector honors” is awarded to top companies by industry based on the climate change response assessment results. LG Display received the high “Leadership A-” grade for factors including efforts to reduce and manage greenhouse gas emissions, advancing climate change response scenarios, and expanding the share of renewable energy use.

LG Display has set a mid- to long-term roadmap with a goal of carbon neutrality by 2050. It plans to cut carbon emissions stepwise by 53 percent by 2030 and 67 percent by 2040 versus 2018 levels. It is continuing investment in and adoption of greenhouse gas reduction facilities, and is cutting companywide power use through DX-based facility operations.

It is working with relevant institutions to develop process gases with a low global warming potential (GWP). It is also gradually expanding its transition to renewable energy. In the water management evaluation, it was recognized for expanding water reuse, presenting a goal of reaching an 87 percent water reuse rate by 2030, and transparently disclosing water resource data and management performance.

An LG Display official said the company plans to continue promoting carbon neutrality implementation and advancing its water resource management system to strengthen its environmental management capabilities.
