[Digital Today reporter Chi-gyu Hwang (황치규)] The AI chatbot apps most used by South Koreans in February 2026 were ChatGPT, Zeta, Grok AI, Crack and Claude, in that order.

Wiseapp Retail, a market and competitor analysis solution based on real-time app and payment data, announced the findings after examining monthly active users (MAU) and time spent for major AI chatbot apps.

In a sample survey of South Korean smartphone users (Android and iOS), Wiseapp Retail found that the most-used AI chatbot app in February 2026 was ChatGPT, with an MAU of 22.93 million.

It was followed by Zeta with 4.02 million, Grok AI with 1.53 million, Perplexity with 1.52 million, Wrtn with 1.35 million, A.Dot with 1.19 million, Crack with 980,000, Claude with 770,000, Daglo with 460,000 and Google Gemini with 440,000.

Among these, ChatGPT, Zeta, Grok AI, Crack and Claude posted their highest-ever user totals as of February. Grok AI in particular rose to third in AI chatbot app users in 1 year after its launch on domestic app markets in March last year, showing rapid growth. Claude, which last month had a conflict with the U.S. Department of Defense over the scope of military use, saw monthly users jump 45 percent from 530,000 the previous month, recording a high growth rate.

The AI chatbot app used for the longest time by South Koreans in February 2026 was Zeta, with a total of 113.41 million hours over the month.

Next came ChatGPT with 50.47 million hours, Crack with 9.88 million, Grok AI with 2.93 million, Perplexity with 1.36 million, Chaty with 1.16 million, Claude with 810,000, Wrtn with 680,000, Daglo with 410,000 and A.Dot with 180,000.

The survey was conducted by Wiseapp Retail using a sample of South Korean Android and iOS smartphone users. It covered AI chatbot apps with at least 300,000 monthly active users and excluded AI apps whose main function is call summarisation.
