[DigitalToday reporter Chi-gyu Hwang] An era has opened in which AI hires humans in the real world. The main player is the 'RentAHuman' platform created by software engineer Alexander Liteplow (알렉산더 리테플로). Business Insider reported on Feb. 7 that more than 200,000 people have signed up for RentAHuman (RentAHuman.ai).
RentAHuman is a service designed to address AI's limitations in directly performing offline work. Users can register tags and a cryptocurrency wallet, carry out tasks needed by AI agents and receive payment. It supports access for AI agents using MCP (Model Context Protocol).
Business Insider reported that Liteplow developed RentAHuman after drawing inspiration from services in Japan where people rent others to assign tasks.
He explained that amid concerns about job losses from AI, he wanted to create new jobs in which humans help AI.
The platform lists a range of tasks, from simple social media activity to physical work, and some are moderated to prevent spam and fraud, Business Insider reported.
