Hanwha Vision has expanded the warranty period for its network products to 5 years. Hanwha Vision said on Thursday it will extend the warranty period to 5 years for network cameras and storage devices produced after Jan. 1 this year.

Previously, the warranty period was split into 3 years for general network products and 4 years for cooperation products for large and small companies. It expanded the period to 5 years across the board. Some items, including hard disk drives (HDD) and consumable materials, are excluded.

The company explained that a 5-year warranty is the highest level in the industry by domestic video security market standards. It said customers can operate security systems stably and may also expect lower maintenance costs. Hanwha Vision products recorded an average global service rate of less than 0.5 percent over five years. The company stressed that this was the result of quality control across the entire process, including production, research and testing.

Hanwha Vision operates 26 designated service centers nationwide. At its call center, engineers who have completed specialised training provide technical consultation and remote inspections. A Hanwha Vision official said, "With this expansion of the warranty period, we will be able to provide the best service in the industry," adding, "We will raise brand value through differentiated services."
