KB Securities said on Thursday that its embedded finance net assets under management (AUM) topped 1 trillion won as of the end of January 2026.
Embedded finance refers to putting financial products or services into platforms that consumers use in daily life.
KB Securities' embedded finance business reached AUM of 1 trillion won, up fivefold in two years from 200 billion won in January 2024. The number of linked accounts also exceeded 440,000. The share of AUM in tax-saving accounts such as individual savings accounts (ISA), individual retirement pensions (IRP) and pension accounts has recently risen to 24 percent.
Son Hee-jae (손희재), executive director of KB Securities' Digital Business Group, said, "The essence of KB Securities' digital strategy is wealth management." He added, "We will foster collaboration with various platform operators such as fintech firms as a new pillar of our digital growth strategy and continue to provide clients with the most convenient and stable embedded finance services."
