HanbitSoft is moving to target the Chinese market with 'Granado Espada M'.
On Thursday, HanbitSoft said it signed a China publishing contract with Chinese game publisher Jiangsu 39 for the mobile massively multiplayer online role-playing game Granado Espada M.
Under the deal, Jiangsu 39 will be responsible across China for service operations, marketing and overall localisation of the game. HanbitSoft plans to provide technical support needed for live operations to ensure a smooth launch.
Granado Espada M was developed based on HanbitSoft's flagship intellectual property Granado Espada, which marks its 20th anniversary of service. It reinterprets for mobile the original's distinctive three-character control system (3MCC), expansive world view and classic art style. It is currently available in South Korea, Taiwan and Japan.
A HanbitSoft official said, "It is meaningful to work with Jiangsu 39, which has extensive experience in the Chinese market," and added, "We will actively support efforts to convey the appeal of the original game in China as well."
