South Korea's KOSPI opens lower on Tuesday but turns higher and extends gains to set another record high.
The KOSPI ends up 83.02 points, or 1.57 percent, at 5,371.10.
The index opens down 27.37 points, or 0.52 percent, at 5,260.71 from the previous session. It quickly pares losses, turns higher and breaks above 5,300. It then climbs to the 5,370 range, surpassing the previous day's record high of 5,288.08.
The KOSDAQ index ends up 5.10 points, or 0.45 percent, at 1,149.43.
