Apple will introduce agent-based coding features in its Xcode app development platform, CNBC reported on Monday.
Apple is integrating OpenAI and Anthropic AI agents so Xcode users can use AI coding functions.
Apple Intelligence has delayed support for AI coding due to internal issues.
With this update, developers can use Xcode by linking an OpenAI or Anthropic account with an API key. Apple also supports integration with other AI tools by applying open standards. Xcode 26.3 is currently available to Apple developers enrolled in the beta and will be released officially later.
