Global fintech firm Hecto Financial has secured cross-border settlement infrastructure using regulated stablecoins such as USDC.

Hecto Financial said on Tuesday it built payment infrastructure based on Circle's Circle Payments Network, or CPN.

Hecto Financial plans to improve overseas remittances and settlement efficiency through CPN in line with the domestic regulatory environment and increase the speed and stability of cross-border payments.

CPN is a payment network operated by Circle Technology Services, an affiliate of Circle Internet Group (CRCL). It connects financial institutions, payment service providers and fintech companies. It supports always-on automated settlement based on stablecoins such as USDC and EURC. It integrates existing payment systems and blockchain-based payment systems without intermediaries and implements a real-time settlement structure.

Hecto Financial plans to use the network to improve cross-border payment efficiency and target the B2B market, including global platforms. Key application areas include B2B payments, overseas remittances and cash management.

Hecto Group joined Circle's stablecoin-only blockchain mainnet Arc public testnet as a partner in October last year, working on technology verification and a project to establish financial infrastructure standards.

Choi Jong-won (최종원), chief executive of Hecto Financial, said the company would raise customer value through a next-generation payment solution that meets both regulatory compliance and efficiency in cross-border fund transfers. He said it would focus on building a foundation for overseas expansion of a won-based digital payment ecosystem amid a global payment environment being reshaped around stablecoins.

Irphan Ganji (이르판 간치), senior vice president for payments at Circle, said the partnership with Hecto Financial made real-time-level cross-border payments possible in global hubs. He said CPN has begun implementing a programmable fund transfer structure in earnest.
