K Bank is expanding the scope of refinancing for its Boss real estate secured loan for business owners to cover the broader second-tier financial sector.

K Bank said on Feb. 2 it expanded eligible refinancing lenders for Boss Real Estate Secured Loan, a real estate secured loan product for sole proprietors, from banks and mutual finance institutions to include savings banks, insurance companies, and card and capital companies.

Boss Real Estate Secured Loan has continuously strengthened its competitiveness since its launch in July 2024, introducing junior-lien refinancing in March 2025 and expanding eligibility to mutual finance institutions in October that year. With the latest expansion, refinancing is now effectively available from most regulated financial institutions that handle real estate secured loans for sole proprietors.

The measure will allow customers who hold secured loans for sole proprietors at savings banks, capital companies or insurers, where rates are relatively high, to benefit from K Bank's lower rates. The bank said customers can check and execute the process online without submitting complex documents, and it expects financial access for busy small business owners to improve significantly.

Boss Real Estate Secured Loan, the first fully online secured loan for sole proprietors, is showing rapid growth, with outstanding loans surpassing 600 billion won as of the end of last month, 18 months after launch, driven by rates and convenience.

K Bank also expanded the credit limit for its Boss credit loan to up to 300,000,000 won from 100,000,000 won. It is available to professionals and high-credit sole proprietors, and the bank said it will provide a larger limit when borrowers prove business use to support funding needs.

A K Bank official said the bank greatly expanded eligible refinancing lenders so business owners struggling with high rates can benefit from interest savings across a wider range. The official said the bank will continue to pursue product innovation and inclusive finance to become a reliable financial partner for small business owners.
