Netmarble on Jan. 30 released a developer note for its baseball game 'Magu Magu 2025' and previewed a '2026 season open update' in March.

Kim Hyun-chan (김현찬), a PD at Netmarble N2, said in the developer note posted on the official forum, "This update will not be a simple year change, but a starting point that opens a new five years of Magu Magu." He added, "I want to boldly make a promise this time that I have not made lightly. You can look forward to it."

He said he was determined to comprehensively improve tasks that have accumulated during the past five years of service. He specifically cited entrenched play patterns, gaps between new and existing users, and stagnant visuals, saying, "I want to give you an answer with changes close to innovation."

Details of the March update will be disclosed sequentially later through the official forum and community, and the game title will also be changed to 'Magu Magu 2026' along with the update. Kim said, "If you ask why the game year, which used to change every January, is in March, the reason is clear. It is because the scale of this update is that large." He added, "I ask for a lot of interest and 기대 from managers."

Netmarble will provide coupon rewards to users to mark the release of the developer note, including a 'Legend Franchise Pick Up Pack', a 'Premium Enhancement Recovery Ticket' and 3,000 jewels. It will also run various in-game events, including a 'Point Repeat Mission' event and a 'Magu Marble' event.
